Sibeeria Wondrous Whale

Sometimes an entry into our IPA Zoo series needs to be an animal that matches the style, and what better creature to pair with the series’ first Double IPA than the oceans’ mightiest mammal. Strong, juicy and surprisingly light in body, this beer brings maximum ease and flavour to the style, utilising a high starting and low finishing sugar content that makes this a concerningly easy drinking affair. We also paired this brew with some of our long-time favourite hops, including a healthy dose of Simcoe in the whirlpool and Rakau, Citra and HBC 630 as dry hop additions. The Simcoe and Citra bring their hallmark citrusy bite to the forefront of ones’ sip, while the Rakau and HBC 630 respectively bring a tart lime and white peach softness down the line that rounds out the whole experience. The beer is a pale yellow in colour with a high turbidity in line with style.
